Dermalux LED

The Flex delivers clinically proven Blue 415nm, Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm via single wavelength LED’s to ensure precision and optimum optical power. Wavelengths can be selected as individual or multi-wavelength treatments.

It works by exposing the skin to low level, non-thermal light to stimulate or regulate biological processes within the skin. Each wavelength activates key cell receptors and triggers cell activation via transferring the light to cellular energy within the skin. The skin will look energised and hydrated.

is antibacterial so will destroy acne bacteria and is excellent for calming, reducing and preventing further breakouts.

Near infrared light

has anti-inflammatory properties and assists skin healing. This is wavelength that is clinically proven to reduce hyperpigmentation and can help treat conditions such as acne and rosacea too.

Contraindications:

LED is safe, non-thermal, nontoxic and non-invasive, and to date no side effects have been reported in published literature. In the 20 years that LED has been used in the medical and beauty industry, there have been no reported incidents of adverse reactions or damage caused by LED therapy.
There are few contraindications to LED phototherapy but we recommend that clients who present with any of the following conditions SHOULD NOT undergo Dermalux® treatment:
  • Epilepsy or Seizures triggered by light
  • Metabolic disorders such as Porphyria
  • Autoimmune disorders such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
  • Photosensitive disorders such as Photosensitve Eczema
  • Hypomelanism (Albanism)
  • Active Cancers
  • Use of Photosensitive Medication

Dermalux is a non-invasive treatment that uses the most clinically proven wavelengths to energise cells and trigger the skins natural rejuvenating and healing processes to treat a wide range of conditions.

LED Phototherapy is a heat free treatment that does not contain harmful UV wavelengths and therefore cannot damage skin tissue or create photosensitivity. It is clinically proven to be safe for all skin types, including darker skins and the most sensitive skin conditions.

The Flex can be used every day for up to 30 minutes

Results can last for several months following a course of Dermalux treatments subject to the indication. However, regular maintenance treatments are advised to extend results as part of an on-going skin health programme.
